Take a look at a typical day at a Carousel Cottage Child Development Center and you can't help but notice how much fun children are having while learning! You'll see kids with faces beaming while playing stimulating games, reading and sharing, scribbling and giggling, or sorting and stacking. You'll see fun with sand and songs, brushes and books, puzzles and paint, and more. And although it may all look like fun, you're actually seeing something else as well: children learning by doing. Studies have found that children are more likely to retain information learned when they are hands on, engaged in an enjoyable and meaningful activity. And that's what learning at Carousel Cottage is all about.

The skills and knowledge children learn today play a major role in determining who they'll be tomorrow. At Carousel Cottage, we understand the significance of your child care center choice and offer you the information and resources on this site to help you make an informed, confident decision. Included is our Quality Checklist that will help you evaluate child care programs and characteristics as you tour child care facilities in your area. Our center is open to all children–regardless of race, nationality or creed–who may benefit from our program. The child must be at least six weeks of age. We do offer an extended care program for children of school age.

 

 

All staff members have training in first aid and are CPR certified. All participate in a continuous program of in-service studies, workshops and education in order to remain alert to the ever-changing needs of today's families and sensitive to the findings of current research.
