Ruth and German Moran

Ruth and German opened Carousel Cottage in 1993 and have been actively involved in daily operations ever since.  German retired from the military in 2008 after 20 years of active duty service.  They have three grown daughters who each attended elementary, middle, and high school in Clarksville, and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  If you stop by Carousel Cottage and don't see Ruth and German, they are probably off pursuing their passion, sailing on their boat Seaquinn!

Jessica Moran-Director		Ronda Koory-School Age Director
Jessica is Ruth and German's oldest daughter.  She moved back to Clarksville and became director of the center in 2006.  She has a BSBA concentrating in Accounting from UT Knoxville, and will have a Masters in Teaching K-6 Education in December 2010.  Jessica and her husband Brian have two sons, Cole and Barrett.		Ronda Koory began working at Carousel Cottage in 2003. She is a life long resident of Clarksville.  Ronda has earned her Child Development Associate degree from Nashville State, and has a Technical Degree in Early Childhood, also from Nashville State.She graduates in Dec 2011 with her Associates in Early Childhood.   Ronda and her husband Jeff have two children, Ashley and Steven.
Rena Crum- Pre-K		Maria Rivera- Pre-K and Spanish
Rena was born and raised in from a small farming community called Union City Ohio.    She has two children.  Her son is in the Airforce and her daughter is working on her nursing degree.  Rena is the proud Grandmother of 5 grandkids!  She has been working in childcare for 19 years, and here at Carousel Cottage for 15.  In addition to Clarksville, she's been a childcare provider in Germany, Ft. Bragg, Ft. Knox. She has recently earned her CDA!		Maria was born and raised in Puerto Rico and came to Clarksville with her family. Maria has three children all attending Montgomery County Schools and has been with our pre-school program since 2009. Maria is the Spanish teacher and has a awesome Spanish program that she is teaching to our children in the center. Maria is very involved with her church and enjoys the time she spends there.
Myra Gillis-Pre-School		Kathy McKnight-Pre-School
Myra has been a teacher at Carousel Cottage since 1995.  She has worked in every classroom and enjoyed them all!  She is originally from Northwest Florida.  She and her husband lived in Ft. Bragg with their two children, before moving to Clarksville in 1988.  She loves fishing and canoeing, and would one day love to move back to Florida to retire.  Until then she is quite happy to be here caring for children.		Kathy is originally from Chicago, the windy city! She has moved to Clarksville with her husband who is in the Army.  Kathy has two dogs, Laya and Roxie. Kathy and her husband had their first baby in August! Kathy has worked with Carousel since 2010
Rebecca Henry- Pre-School		Miriam Pizano-Pre-School
Rebecca is from Los Angeles and moved to Clarksville in 2006 to visit her brother and ended up staying with us in TN. Rebecca is currently going to APSU for her CDA in Early Childhood. She will complete her classes in the Fall of 2011. Rebecca is a musician and plays bass guitar with her gospel group Vertical Praise. Rebecca also loves to sing at praise and worship at Liberty Church.		.  Miriam is originally from Mexico and has moved to Clarksville in 2009 with her husband who is military. Miriam has three goldfish named Mini Mouse, Mickey Mouse, and Ojos. Miriam loves to Latin dance in her private time and has been doing it for 6 years. Miriam has been with Carousel since May 2009 and loves working with her preschool children.
Elizabeth Fox -Two Year Olds		Meghan Thurman-Two Year Olds
Elizabeth resides in Clarksville with her husand and has two children, one attends WKU and the other is a senior at Bowling Green High School. Elizabeth enjoys working with twos because it gives her a chance to be creative and understands their needs to move, learn and laugh. Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, watching her youngest play football, drawing and running. Elizabeth attended WKU with emphasis in Early Childhood Education and has seven years in child care experience.
Jackie George- Toddlers		Meaghan Daneff- Toddlers
Jackie hails from the great island of Jamaica!  She has lived with her husband and three boys in Clarksville for many years now.  She is the proud grandmother of two, with one on the way! Jackie has worked with the toddlers here at Carousel Cottage for so long we are afraid she is going to loose her identity and become one herself! If there were a provider you would want for you toddler, she is it. Jackie has recently earned her CDA!		Meaghan, who is originally from Lansing, MI, moved to Clarksville after her husband's military career as a cook brought them here.  She has a two year old pug named Damion.  He is her only baby for now!  Meaghan is very patient and loves to learn new things.  She is amazing when it comes to working with the challenging temperaments of the toddlers!
Ashley Thornton-Infants		Suzette Garcia-Infants
Ashley comes from a large family of ten children and has ended up in the childcare field due to her love of children.  Ashley is currently going to school with Nashville State Community College  to receive her degree in early childhood. Ashley loves to do creative hobbies in her free time.		Quita SuSuSuzette has come to us at Carousel because her husband is stationed at Fort Campbell. Suzette has a puppy named Peanut who is their baby at this time but are waiting to have a child of their own someday. Suzette is attending school for psychology and wants to work with special needs when she graduates. Suzette enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, watching movies, spending time with family, shopping and listening to music.
Theresa Williamson-Cook - --Nutritional Specialist		Jaime Herschell-Cook
Theresa is originally from Louisiana and after 25 years with his husband in the military they decided to retire in Clarksville. Theresa has four kids, Jamie, Justin, Ethan, Garrett and two grandkids, Jayde and Kolbi. Theresa has worked at Carousel since 2006 and is our nutritional specialist for our pre-school children. She has recently earned her CDA!		Jaime has lived in Tennessee for 20 years.  She began working at Carousel Cottage two years ago.  She's married to an Army man, and they have one daughter.  She enjoys working with children, and learns something new everyday! Jaime is our  nutritional specialist for our school age children.
Diana Vaughan-School Age		Chantel Fletcher-School Age
Diana has been a resident of Clarksville for 20 years and has decided to make it her home.  Diana is working on her technical in Early Childhood through Nashville State Community College. Diana has worked with the school agers since 2006 and is the lead teacher as well as the bus driver. Diana is married to Rick and her children are all grown up and gone.		Originally from Kentucky, Chantel has made Clarksville her home. Chantel is working on her CDA at the moment and plans to have it completed this year in 2011. Chantel works will the school age children and has been with the center since 2010. Chantel is married to John and have 2 kids, Aaliyah and Max.
		Michelle Hernandez-Office
.		Michelle has just moved back to Clarksville from Puerto Rico this year and is back with Carousel. Michelle worked with us in 2001-2002 for a while. Michelle has a degree in Business Administration. Michelle has one child, Mia.
